PetPoint Adoptable Search Module
More pets are finding more homes, thanks to you and PetPoint data feeds.
At the Animal Care Expo last year, PetPoint launched the Adoptable Search Module (ASM). This module uses i-frame technology which creates a direct link between PetPoint and your website. While powering live pet data on your website, it also provides PetPoint the ability to promote select brands (ShelterCare Pet Insurance and 24PetWatch Microchip Recovery). This ability is a critical component of how we can generate revenue and provide PetPoint for free to the animal welfare community.
We are proud that over 160 shelters have already taken advantage of this module which provides potential adopters with real-time access to animals available for adoption at your shelter.
This year at Animal Care Expo, we will be proudly announcing additional modules that will dramatically increase the public's ability to interact directly with your organization through PetPoint. The PetPoint Modules being announced this year include: an online adoption application; ability to select featured pets; successful adoption stories; event calendars; and many others. When these features go live, the PetPoint platform will represent the best in user experience for not only shelter staff but adopters as well. No other platform designed for animal welfare whether B to B or B to C will come close to matching this level of functionality.
To further facilitate the growth of this platform, as of May 5, 2009, any website that wishes to continue to receive adoptable pet data from PetPoint must do so via i-frame technology (this includes national search sites such as Petfinder.com and Adopt-a-Pet). The new i-frame technology not only allows your potential adopters to interact with your organization, but also provides a maintenance-free, real-time representation of animals available for adoption at your shelter.
We believe this change will enhance your interaction with potential adopters and help more pets find more homes while keeping operational costs low. We do know that some websites will not want to present these brands or change technology; if they want to continue to receive data without brands or in the current manner they must establish a direct commercial relationship with us.
