New PetPoint 3.0 Features!

We would like to thank everyone who visited the Pethealth Inc. booths at HSUS Expo. Our team was happy to spend time with all of you and look forward to seeing you again soon, be it at another conference or at your own facility.

Congratulations to Rebecca Langevin, Animal Care Center Supervisor for winning the Samsung 50” Plasma TV on behalf of the SPCA of Texas. Melissa Dunham who volunteers at the Desoto Animal Rescue Society in Horn Lake, Mississippi took home a HP Digital Camera courtesy of our first PetPoint Purchasing Partner, STAPLES.

The launch party for PetPoint 3.0 was held at the Hyatt Dallas Reunion Tower which proved to be a great venue for this occasion. For those of you who RSVP’d but could not make it, expect to see your gift in the mail soon (unfortunately, we were told we could not ship any of the yummy desserts enjoyed by all who attended). We are happy to tell you that beta testing of PetPoint 3.0 is going well and we expect to launch in early June 2007.

Some may ask: “How can we improve such a fantastic product, chosen to track and care for the animals of more than 600 animal welfare organizations?” Through invaluable feedback from our clients, the efforts of our dedicated development team, and hard work of our beta testing partners! This version contains over 250 user-requests alone, so we cannot list them all here. However, here are a few highlights of the many changes:

Expect these features in June:

• Look & Feel face-lift in a 1024 x 768 format for greater efficiency with more information fitting on-screen and less scrolling on pages required.
• Jump-To buttons eliminate the need to look up an animal on each page.
• Post-Mortem module for recording activities like cremation, burial, etc.
• Advanced Animal Search provides detailed search-by-example capabilities.
• All contracts have been re-formatted for mailing in standard business envelopes available through the Staples Purchasing Partner Program.
• Kennel Cards are now available in 4x6, 5x7 and 8x10 Adoption Flyer formats.
• The Exam screen is now customizable by Exam Type, and includes tracking for Symptoms, Diagnosis, and what treatment was provided for each Condition.
  

As if that weren’t enough, here’s what we’re planning for later this summer:

• A combined Foster screen which allows users to process the Pending, Release, and Return steps from a single screen.
• Modular Security throughout PetPoint, allowing Administrators to turn on/off access to sections of PetPoint.
• Customizable Contract Titles and customizable text on Receipts.
• Animal Alerts to further define “danger” or color-code animals.
• Voiding & Backdating of Receipts by Managers and Administrators.
• Person screen Jump-To buttons for Person Profiles and Receipts.
• Ability to issue Licenses during certain Outcomes, such as Adoption.
• Clickable column headers in search grids for quick re-sorting of search result lists.
