Pethealth Inc. Announces that it has Signed MetLife Auto & Home Insurance Agency, Inc. to its Online Broker Program

OAKVILLE, ON, February 5, 2004. Pethealth Inc. ("Pethealth" or "the Company") (TSX Venture Exchange Tier 1: PTZ) is pleased to announce that it has signed a Producer Referral Agreement with MetLife Auto & Home Insurance Agency, Inc. whereby approximately 2000 US licensed property and casualty agents will now be able to distribute the PetCare Pet Insurance Programs as part of the PetCare Pet Insurance online Broker Program. The agreement with the MetLife Auto & Home Insurance Agency, Inc. is the first major distribution agreement under this initiative. A co-branded Web site will allow agents and their customers direct access to the PetCare Pet Insurance Programs. The program is expected to begin by the end of Q1, 2004.

The Pethealth on-line Broker Program was created in 2003 by Pethealth, in response to significant interest from licensed agents and brokers throughout North America wishing to distribute the PetCare pet insurance programs to their customers. The program has met with a good response from a wide range of licensed agents and brokers. Details can be seen at www.petcarebrokers.com.

"We are pleased to announce MetLife Auto & Home Insurance Agency, Inc.'s participation in the on-line Broker Program today," said Mark Warren, President and C.E.O. of Pethealth. "MetLife Auto & Home is a terrific brand and we believe its customers will be receptive to insuring the health of their dogs and cats. We expect this arrangement to enhance our distribution capabilities to pet owners throughout the United States and at the same time provide value enhancement for the MetLife and MetLife Auto & Home agents.”
