OAKVILLE, ON, September 5, 2006. (TSX VENTURE:PTZ) Pethealth Inc. ("Pethealth" or "the Company") today announced that it, together with its wholly owned subsidiaries PetCare Insurance Brokers Ltd. and PetCare Insurance Agency, Ltd. (collectively “PetCare”) has expanded its underwriting relationship with Praetorian Financial Group, Inc. (“Praetorian”) in the United States. The Company announced on February 9, 2006 that it had added Praetorian as an underwriter for the Company’s pet insurance programs in 24 states. Under this expanded agreement, Praetorian, subject to regulatory approval, will begin underwriting the Company’s pet insurance programs in all remaining states plus Washington D.C. on terms similar to those announced in February. Praetorian replaces Lincoln General Insurance Company and will become the Company’s sole underwriter in the United States by December 31, 2007. The Company began placing business with Praetorian in May 2006. PetCare first began offering pet insurance programs to American pet owners in 2001. The PetCare pet insurance programs are currently available in 49 U.S. states plus Washington D.C. The PetCare pet insurance programs are distributed through five broad channels in Canada: corporate/retail partners; animal welfare organizations; veterinarians; direct-to-consumer advertising and an on-line insurance broker network.
