The Q3-2012 Adopter Survey: Veterinary Services (“Veterinary Survey”) represents the largest of its kind conducted by the Company to date, surpassing the results of its Q2 aggregate survey report. Surveys were received by nearly 246,000 adopters across the United States and over 10,000 adopters completed the survey. Survey respondents include new pet adopters of dogs and cats during the 13 month period between July 2011 and July 2012; the survey was conducted during September 2012.

The campaign is designed to raise awareness of the MiniChip™, offered in North America exclusively through the Company’s 24PetWatch Lost Pet Recovery Program, and the fight against breast cancer. Through an agreement signed with the not-for-profit organization in January, a portion of the purchase price of every MiniChip sold in the United States will be donated each quarter to support ABCF programs.

By comparison, same- shelter live release outcomes of cats and dogs in 2011 increased 3% and 2% respectively over 2010 according to the Year-End PetPoint Report published in January. Live release outcomes include adoptions, returns to owner, and transfers out of reporting organisations.
Company also establishes new quarterly record for microchip sales in Q1 2012.

The Company sold 132,925 microchips in March, up 23% over March 2011, surpassing the previous record of 130,250 recorded in January of this year. The increase in monthly sales was again driven by strong growth in the Company’s North American animal welfare channel and expanding market share in the United Kingdom.
