(TSX: PTZ) Pethealth Inc. (“Pethealth” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that its “Recover a Pet, Uncover a Cure” campaign generated donations of $19,209 during the Company’s first quarter ending March 31st. A donation was made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation (“ABCF”) honoring the agreement signed with the non-profit organization in January 2012 and renewed in January 2013. Through similar agreements signed with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation – Ontario Chapter (“CBCF”) and the Pink Ribbon Foundation in March 2012 and renewed in March 2013, a portion of the purchase price of every MiniChip sold in Canada and the United Kingdom will be donated annually. To date the campaign has generated donations of over $75,000 since its initial launch in January 2012.

Pethealth Inc. Adopts Shareholder Rights Plan

(TSX: PTZ) Pethealth Inc. (“Pethealth” or the “Company”) announced today that its board of directors (the “Board”) has approved the adoption of a shareholder rights plan (the “Plan”). The Toronto Stock Exchange has conditionally approved the Plan. While the Plan comes into effect immediately, it is subject to shareholder ratification within six months of its adoption. The Company will seek shareholder ratification at its annual and special meeting of shareholders scheduled to be held on May 15, 2013.

Pethealth Inc. to Acquire Certain Assets of PurinaCare’s Pet Insurance Operations

(“Pethealth”) has, through its subsidiary PTZ Insurance Agency, Ltd., entered into an asset purchase agreement (the “Agreement”) with Nestlé Purina Claims Processing, Inc. and PurinaCare Insurance Services, Inc. (together, “Purina”) whereby Pethealth has agreed to acquire certain assets of Purina’s pet insurance operations relating to the administration of Purina’s pet insurance program and the rights to the subsequent policyholder renewals. (“Pethealth” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that its ‘Recover a Pet, Uncover a Cure’ campaign generated donations of $56,000 to the American Breast Cancer Foundation (“ABCF”) in 2012. These donations, based on total sales of MiniChips for 2012 in the United States, include the Company’s most recent donation of $12,000 for sales made during the Company’s fourth quarter ending December 31st. Through an agreement signed with the nonprofit organization in January 2012 and renewed in January of 2013, a portion of the purchase price of every MiniChip sold in the United States will be donated each quarter to the ABCF.
